I was first diagnosed with Granulomatous mastitis (GM) which is a rare benign inflammatory breast disease at the age of 18, I suffered more than 12 years with this disease by consulting tons of doctors and taking medications far beyond that was needed. In this process I was operated on 3 times. I seriously lost all hopes of getting a cure forever. One fine day my family friend suggested me to consult Dr. Shefali Desai (M.S) Consultant Breast Surgeon, literally she was godsend to me. She listened to my health concerns and responded appropriately to that information with her vast experience and knowledge. I followed the process and medications she suggested and would see the result in just a week. It has been 4 months now that I am completely free from this disease. Trust me this is possible. This disease is curable if you get the right doctor to lead you. To all the ladies suffering from the same problem as I was, I would like to say that don’t lose hope. This disease has a treatment and is absolutely curable. I wouldn’t thank my doctor and her team enough for working so hard for me to make this possible.

I thought my world had come crashing down when I started getting bloody discharge from one of my breasts. A lot of surfing on the internet told me that this was one of the symptoms of Breast cancer.

Despite my Sonography and Mammography being normal, when the discharge didn’t stop even after medication, Dr Shefali advised me to do a Ductoscopy, wherein she found that there was Papilloma.

Even though benign, she advised me to remove it as it required very minimal surgery, which i did.

Apart from the expert medical care by Dr Shefali and her team, great care was taken about my emotional well being too.Many a times the team does not match upto the doctor but that is not the case at Samved. It is efficient , sincere and extremely caring.
